The Walker-Adams off-road karting track proves out the Walker-Adams products in the hands of the customer. After testing other companies off-road products Walker-Adams has finally launched the first in it's range of off-road vehicles, the WA Sport. It has called on its 15 years experience in the design & development of steering, suspension and drive systems from the automotive sector to create a high end durable off-road vehicle. We use the latest computer aided design and manufacturing techniques to build the vehicle at our manufacturing facility in Birmingham, England.

The next vehicle that is currently in the design phase is the 180HP race/road going version, the WA Pro (available mid 2010).

Walker Adams Sport

The WA Sport is designed for the tough corporate entertainment market. This market requires a rugged vehicle that is exciting to drive but has a low cost of repair. Being two seater enable the operator to sit beside the driver if required or will assist in the recovery of vehicle, keeping the marshal safe. Depending on track design and operatior requirements the WA Sport can be fitted with 25HP to 35HP Briggs and Stratton engine. Using a low reving engine give maximum durability whilst giving the customer a thrilling drive. Top speed is 50 to 60 mph off-road with good low down torque enabling the driver to pull away quickly and not get bogged down in the corners.

 

Engine

The standard engine is a 928cc 31hp V-Twin Briggs & Stratton with over rev & cyclonic air filter. Other engine options available are 25 HP up to 35 HP. This engine is ideal for the corporate market as it is designed to do hours of working in the harshness of environment. The cyclonic air filter is ideal for dusty conditions.

 

Gearbox & Transmission

MX200 Gearbox with ratio options from 5:1 to 8:1. The standard ratio is 8:1 which is great for off-road courses. This give good acceleration whilst keeping the top speed limited. The drive is from a belt driven CVT commonly used in snowmobiles thus making the vehicle an automatic.

 

Chassis

Powder Coated 1.5” Tubular Space Frame. The frame has been rolled, crashed and abused to prove out its strength. We are currently getting the design FIA approved.

 

Wheels & Tyres

The wheels are Team Dynamics 14 x 7 Pro Race 1.2. We currently use 195/70 R14 road tyres for the track but we have a full range of mud, gravel and race tyres available.

 

Suspension & Steering

The front and rear suspension are double wishbone with 300 mm travel. The shocks are Gaz shocks with adjustable damping and ride height. Rack & Pinion 2 Turns Lock to Lock

 

Brakes

Four wheel braking with Hi Spec Aluminium Calipers and tandem booster.

 

Seat & Harness

TRS 4 Point Harnesses. 2 x FIA Approved Cobra Aqua 4x4 Race Seat

 

Safety

Front and Rear Bumpers. Side Netting. Side Bars
